WORD FROM THE COMMISSION SECRETARY
The Commission wishes, through this Website, to present an overview
of higher education in Kenya and to inform the public of the quality
assurance mechanisms which have been put in place in the sector. Through
this its hoped that there will be greater public awareness on the
institutions recognized by the Commission for Higher Education and
the World.
The Website also informs the public of the existing structure and
operations of the Commission which are geared towards ensuring quality
in higher education.
Over the years the Commission has awarded charters to 7 private universities,
granted letters of interim authority to 6 private universities, registered
6 private universities and 4 chartered universities.
We are committed to ensure that the information contained in this
website is regularly updated as the situation warrants. We, therefore
welcome any comments or suggestions on how the website can be made
more responsive to your needs. |
